What it is
The Sime 6260986 is a six-pole female cable connector used on Sime Super FOUR Revised gas boilers. It plugs the wiring loom into the appliance's electrical circuit, carrying supply and control signals between the boiler's components. It is a cable-mounted plug connector rather than a hard-wired terminal block.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Intermittent boiler operation or random lockouts traced to a loose plug
- Visible scorching, discolouration or melting on the connector housing
- Corroded, bent or retracted pins in the female housing
- Connector will not latch or stay seated in its mating socket
- Wiring faults that change when the loom is moved
Before you order
- Confirm the existing connector is female and has six poles
- Check the boiler model against the fitment list above
- Inspect the mating male connector and loom for damage before refitting
- Isolate the electrical supply before removing or replacing the connector
