What it is

The Sime 6248855 is a smoke outlet gasket used on the flue gas inlet/outlet path of compatible Sime gas boilers. It seals the joint between the flue outlet and the boiler casing, preventing flue gases from escaping into the appliance compartment. It is supplied as a single gasket.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible splitting, hardening or flattening of the gasket material
  • Staining or soot marking around the flue outlet joint
  • Flue gas smell or combustion readings drifting outside expected limits
  • Condensate weeping at the flue outlet connection
  • Gasket damaged or disturbed during flue removal or servicing

Before you order

  • Confirm the boiler model and GC number against the fit list above
  • Identify whether the gasket is required for the inlet or the outlet side of the flue path
  • Check the existing gasket for correct profile and seating before removal
  • Confirm any quantity required for the job
