What it is

The Sime 6226626 is a pipe fixing spring used in Sime gas appliances. It retains and secures pipework within its fixing point, keeping the pipe located and under tension inside the appliance. It is listed by Sime under miscellaneous components and is shared across several boiler families.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The spring has lost tension and no longer holds the pipe securely
  • Visible corrosion, pitting or surface rust on the spring
  • The spring is deformed, bent or has broken coils
  • The pipe moves, vibrates or rattles at its fixing point
  • The spring is missing from the fixing point after servicing

Before you order

  • Confirm your appliance model and part number against the manufacturer's parts list
  • Check the fixing point on your appliance to confirm this spring is the correct fitment
  • Check how many springs are required for the pipework being worked on
