What it is

The Sime 6226444 is a 13.64mm x 2.62mm O-ring for Sime gas boilers. It forms a seal at the boiler joint where it is fitted, helping to prevent leaks at that connection. It is listed for a range of Sime Format, Metropolis, Meridian, Climit and Open models.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water or gas escaping at the joint where the O-ring is fitted
  • Rubber that is flattened, split or cracked when the joint is opened
  • Rubber that has hardened, perished or lost its elasticity
  • A seal that no longer sits evenly in its groove
  • Leaks returning soon after the joint has been reassembled

Before you order

  • Check the appliance model and gas type against the rating plate, and compare them with the fit list above.
  • Measure the existing O-ring and confirm it matches 13.64mm x 2.62mm before ordering.
  • Isolate the appliance before opening any joint, and only carry out the work if you are competent to do so.
