What it is

The WASHER MPMV 3318 is a washer used on the solenoid assembly of Sime gas boilers, listed under the Sime part number 6223800. It forms part of the gas valve solenoid arrangement on the Sime Format series of appliances. Its role is to seat correctly within the solenoid assembly so the valve operates as intended.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler fails to fire despite a confirmed demand for heat
  • Intermittent ignition or repeated lockouts on start-up
  • The gas valve does not open and no gas reaches the burner
  • The washer is visibly flattened, cracked or distorted when the solenoid is inspected
  • The solenoid coil shows signs of overheating or audible buzzing in service

Before you order

  • Check the appliance model against the Fits list above, including LPG variants
  • Confirm the existing solenoid component carries the MPMV 3318 marking
  • Inspect the washer for flattening or cracking before deciding whether the solenoid itself also needs attention
