What it is
The Sime 6221644 is an ignition electrode for Sime Meridian HE boilers. It sits at the burner and provides the spark that lights the burner during the ignition sequence. It is listed as a replacement for the ignition electrode in the models below.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The burner fails to light, or the boiler goes into lockout after ignition attempts
- Ignition is intermittent, with the boiler lighting on some attempts and not others
- Visible damage, cracking or heavy deposits on the electrode tip or ceramic insulator
- Sparking is weak or absent at the electrode when the ignition sequence runs
- Burner flame is unstable or drops out soon after lighting
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model against the fit list above, including the HE 30C variant.
- Check the model and serial details on the appliance rating plate before ordering.
- Inspect the existing electrode, its lead and the burner area for damage or deposits, as these can cause similar faults.
