What it is
The Sime 6150700 is a divertor valve microswitch used across a range of Sime gas boilers. It sits on the divertor valve assembly and signals the appliance's control circuit when the valve has moved into its heating or hot water position. A failed switch interrupts that signal and the boiler cannot change mode reliably.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to switch between central heating and hot water, or stays in one mode only
- Domestic hot water demand does not bring the boiler on, despite the divertor valve moving
- Boiler cuts out or locks out intermittently during a mode change
- Microswitch operates unreliably, requiring repeated demand cycling before the boiler fires
- Visible scorching, cracking or a loose lever arm on the switch body
