What it is
The Sime 6147406 is an air/smoke manifold plug with an M14 x 1 thread. It seals the air/smoke manifold on Sime gas boilers, closing the tapping in the manifold assembly. It is used across the Format, Open Zip, Murelle, Climit and Metro ranges.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Combustion readings that drift or will not settle during servicing
- Visible corrosion, soot staining or condensate tracking around the manifold plug
- A smell of flue gases or a whistle at the manifold joint
- Difficulty sealing the manifold after service work
Before you order
- Confirm the tapping is M14 x 1 — this plug will not fit a manifold with a different thread.
- Check your appliance model and GC number against the fitment list above.
- Inspect the existing sealing washer or gasket and replace it separately if it is no longer serviceable.
