What it is

The Sime 6142206 is a hanging bracket used to mount the appliance securely to the wall. It is listed by Sime for the Ecomfort Plus and Format boiler families. The bracket carries the weight of the boiler casing and keeps the appliance level and correctly positioned against the wall.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible corrosion or heavy surface rust on the bracket
  • Bracket bent, cracked or distorted so the boiler no longer sits level
  • Boiler casing sitting proud of the wall or out of alignment
  • Movement or flexing of the appliance on its mounting
  • Fixing points elongated or worn where the bracket meets the wall

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model against the fit list above
  • Check the existing bracket for damage before removing the boiler
  • Verify the part number 6142206 matches the bracket currently fitted
  • Ensure the wall fixings and mounting surface are sound before refitting
