What it is
The Chaffoteaux 61400272 is a microswitch box used on SX 11 FF and SX 14 FF gas boilers. It houses the microswitch assembly that signals appliance status to the boiler control circuit. The part is supplied as a boxed switch unit for direct fitting to the relevant SX FF models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to respond when a demand for heat or hot water is made
- Intermittent operation, with the appliance cutting in and out without a clear fault elsewhere
- No switching signal reaching the control board despite the actuator moving correctly
- Visible damage, burning or discolouration around the switch housing
- Fault code or lockout behaviour traced to the switch circuit during diagnosis
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and, for SX 11 FF NAT GAS, the production date band shown in the fit list
- Check the existing microswitch box for the part number 61400272
- Verify the fault lies with the switch rather than the wiring loom or PCB before ordering
- Confirm gas type, as the LPG and NAT GAS variants are listed separately
