What it is

The Chaffoteaux 61400262-01 is an air pressure switch used on SX 11 FF gas boilers. It monitors the pressure produced by the combustion fan and proves airflow before the boiler is allowed to fire. The catalogue listing gives a switching range of 80 > 120.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The fan runs but the boiler will not fire and goes to lockout
  • Repeated or intermittent lockouts shortly after a demand for heat
  • Boiler fires erratically, with the burner dropping out during a cycle
  • No ignition sequence despite the fan proving airflow at the flue
  • Fault symptoms that clear temporarily when the pressure switch tubing is disturbed

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model is SX 11 FF and check the gas type against the fit list
  • On natural gas models, check the appliance date against the stated build ranges
  • Compare the part number on the existing switch with 61400262-01
  • Inspect the sensing tubes and connections for blockage, splits or trapped condensate before condemning the switch
