What it is

The Sime combustion chamber rear insulation is a replacement insulation part for the combustion chamber of Sime gas boilers. It forms the rear lining of the chamber within the burner area. It is listed in the Burner category of gas boiler spares.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Insulation at the rear of the combustion chamber is cracked, crumbling or broken away
  • Visible scorching, blackening or discolouration on the insulation or surrounding chamber panels
  • Loose fragments of insulation found in the burner area
  • Insulation no longer sitting flush against the rear of the chamber

Before you order

  • Check the boiler model and GC number against the fit list. The list includes models with and without a time clock, and several burner variants, so match the exact model.
  • Inspect the existing insulation's position and condition in the combustion chamber before ordering.
  • Isolate the boiler and allow it to cool before inspecting or removing the combustion chamber insulation.
