What it is
The Sime 6138771 upper support frame assembly is a casing component used on Sime gas boilers. It forms the upper support of the appliance wall frame, holding the top section of the casing in position. It is listed by Sime under the casing section of the boiler spares range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The upper casing panel no longer sits square or secure on the appliance
- Visible distortion, cracking or corrosion on the frame section
- Fixing points worn or damaged so the casing cannot be fastened properly
- The frame works loose in service, allowing the top casing to move
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and part number against the manufacturer's parts list for your boiler
- Check whether your model is one of the Ecomfort, Format, Metropolis, Climit or Formel variants listed above
- Inspect the existing upper frame and fixings to confirm which section has failed
- Have the appliance model and serial details to hand when ordering
