What it is
The Chaffoteaux 61313340-01 is an air pressure switch used on Minima Mx2 and Minima SE System 24 FF gas boilers. It monitors the pressure produced by the combustion fan and proves that air is moving through the appliance before the gas valve is allowed to open. The switch operates within a pressure range of 116 to 138 Pa.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler locks out on a call for heat, with the fan running but no ignition
- Repeated lockouts that clear after a reset and then return
- Boiler fails to fire intermittently, often in windy conditions or with a blocked flue
- Fan runs continuously or the appliance will not complete its pre-purge sequence
- Fault code or lockout pattern pointing to the air pressure switch or fan proving circuit
