What it is
The Chaffoteaux 61312496 is a fan assembly, designated 1V 30FF, used on Chaffoteaux gas boilers. It draws combustion air into the burner and drives flue gases out through the flue system. The boiler's control board monitors the fan to prove combustion airflow before and during firing.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler locks out or fails to fire, with a fan or airflow fault indicated
- Fan runs noisily — rumbling, screeching or grinding from worn bearings
- Fan does not spin when the boiler calls for heat
- Intermittent lockouts that clear on reset but return
- Combustion or flue faults recurring after the flue and air paths have been checked
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model matches one of the fitments listed above.
- Check the gas type of the appliance — LPG and natural gas variants are listed separately.
- Read the part number from the existing fan assembly and match it to 61312496.
- Isolate the boiler electrically and allow it to cool before removing the old fan.
