What it is

The Chaffoteaux 61312492 is a grommet used on Minima Mx2 and Minima SE System gas boilers. It seals the point where a pipe or cable passes through the appliance casing, protecting the pipework and restricting air and water ingress at that opening. It is listed as a gas boiler spare within the miscellaneous component range.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The grommet is perished, cracked or hardened with age
  • The grommet has come loose from the casing and no longer sits in its opening
  • Water or debris is entering the casing around the pipe or cable entry
  • The pipe or cable is chafing against a bare metal edge where the grommet has failed
  • Visible staining or damp tracking at the entry point on the casing

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model against the fit list above before ordering
  • Check the part number 61312492 matches the component currently fitted
  • Inspect the failed grommet in situ so you order the correct item for that entry point
  • Check the pipe or cable passing through the grommet for damage before refitting
