What it is
The Chaffoteaux 61312122 is a water return service tap used on Chaffoteaux gas boilers. It sits on the water return circuit and provides a means of isolating that side of the appliance for servicing and maintenance. It is listed by the manufacturer under gas boiler spares.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping from the spindle or gland when the tap is operated
- A steady drip from the tap body with the valve closed
- The handle is stiff, seized or will not turn through its full travel
- The valve will not isolate the water return, so the circuit cannot be shut down for service
- Scale or corrosion visible around the body or connections
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model and build date against the fit list above
- Check the existing tap for the part number 61312122 or the Chaffoteaux marking
- Confirm the connection arrangement and orientation match the tap being removed
- Check whether any other isolation or service valves on the appliance also need attention
