What it is
The Chaffoteaux 61306697-01 is an air pressure switch used across a range of Chaffoteaux gas boilers. It monitors the pressure differential created by the combustion fan and signals the control board that airflow is proven before the boiler is allowed to fire. If the switch does not close, the boiler will not proceed to ignition and will typically lock out.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler locks out on a call for heat with the fan running but no ignition
- Repeated lockouts that clear on reset and return shortly after
- Boiler fails to fire at all despite a confirmed demand from the controls
- Fault code indicating an air pressure or fan proving fault
- Intermittent operation where the boiler fires only occasionally
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model against the fit list above, including the gas type where stated
- Check the part number on the existing switch matches 61306697-01
- Verify the fan is running and the flue and air paths are clear before condemning the switch
- Check the sensing tubes and connections for blockage, splits or poor seating
