What it is
The Chaffoteaux 61305893 is a cable for the three way valve assembly used on a range of Chaffoteaux gas boilers. It carries the control signal between the boiler's PCB and the three way valve head, allowing the valve to switch the appliance between central heating and domestic hot water. It is listed under diverter valve spares for the Calydra Green, Centora Green, G24E and Nexia families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The three way valve head does not move when heating or hot water is demanded
- Hot water runs cold or heating stays on when only hot water is called for
- Intermittent valve operation that changes when the cable is moved or reseated
- Visible damage to the cable, such as a split sheath, scorching or a broken connector
- Boiler fault codes or lockouts linked to the diverter valve circuit
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and GC number against the fit list above
- Check the three way valve head and its connector for damage before assuming the cable is at fault
- Inspect the existing cable routing and connector type so the new cable can be fitted the same way
- Isolate the appliance from the electrical supply before removing or refitting the cable
