What it is
The Chaffoteaux 61304712 is a flue hood used on a range of Chaffoteaux gas boilers. It forms part of the flue assembly, directing products of combustion away from the appliance casing and into the flue path. It is a serviceable component and is listed under flue parts for the appliance families below.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible corrosion, rust scaling or thinning of the hood material
- Cracking, distortion or deformation of the hood body
- Condensate staining, drips or staining around the flue hood area
- Soot or debris build-up that cannot be cleared from the hood
- Flue readings outside tolerance or combustion analysis indicating poor flue performance
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model against the fit list above, including the gas type and any date suffix
- Check the existing hood for the part number marking before removal
- Verify whether your appliance is room-sealed (FF) or open-flue (CF), as fitment differs across the listed models
- Flue components must be fitted and checked by a competent gas engineer, with combustion analysis carried out after work
