What it is
The Chaffoteaux 61302539 is a diverter valve spindle for Chaffoteaux gas boilers. It forms the moving link inside the diverter valve assembly, allowing the valve to switch the boiler between domestic hot water and central heating operation. It is listed under gas boiler spares in the diverter valve category.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Domestic hot water runs cold or only warms intermittently while the heating is on
- The boiler fails to switch between hot water and heating modes
- Radiators heat up when only hot water is demanded, or hot water is slow to arrive
- Water weeping or dripping from the diverter valve body around the spindle
- Stiff, sticking or seized movement when the spindle is operated
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model against the fit list above, including the CF or FF and gas type variants
- Check the manufacturer part number 61302539 matches the part currently fitted
- Inspect the diverter valve body and diaphragm for wear, as spindle faults often occur alongside other valve component wear
- Confirm whether the spindle alone is required or whether the complete diverter valve assembly is being replaced
