What it is
The Grundfos UPS 15-60 is a circulating pump used to move heating water around the primary circuit of Sime gas boilers. It is listed by Sime under spare part number 6124818 and is fitted across a number of Format and Murelle models. The pump maintains flow through the boiler and system, so a failure affects both heating and hot water production.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The pump runs but the boiler or system stays cold, indicating little or no circulation.
- Grinding, humming or rattling noise from the pump body during operation.
- The boiler locks out or overheats shortly after firing because flow is not established.
- The pump does not run at all when the boiler calls for heat.
- Water weeping from the pump body, flange or seal area.
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model and product code against the fit list above.
- Check that the pump currently fitted is a Grundfos UPS 15-60 before ordering.
- Compare the pump body, port arrangement and electrical connection with the existing unit.
- If in doubt, have a qualified heating engineer confirm the correct spare for your boiler.
