What it is
The Chaffoteaux 61016378 is a pressure test point screw used on Chaffoteaux gas boilers. It seals the test nipple on the gas valve, allowing inlet or burner pressure to be checked and the point to be resealed afterwards. It is a small consumable component within the gas train.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The test point weeps or bubbles when leak detection fluid is applied
- The screw head is rounded or chewed, so it cannot be tightened or removed cleanly
- The screw thread is damaged or cross-threaded in the test nipple
- The screw will not seal after a pressure reading has been taken
