What it is

A Chaffoteaux CLXS screw measuring M4 x 12mm, supplied as a boiler fastener. It is used to secure components on Chaffoteaux Minima Mx2 and Minima SE System appliances. The screw forms part of the manufacturer's fixing hardware for these boiler ranges.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The screw head is corroded, chewed or rounded, so it cannot be driven or removed cleanly
  • The thread is stripped or crossed, so the screw will not tighten and hold
  • The screw is missing from its fixing point, leaving a component loose
  • The screw keeps working loose after tightening, indicating thread damage
  • Visible rust or scale on the screw body where it passes through the fixing

Before you order

  • Confirm your appliance model against the fit list above
  • Check that the fixing point requires an M4 x 12mm screw
  • Inspect the surrounding thread or captive nut for damage before fitting a new screw
  • Check how many screws are needed for the repair, as this listing covers a single screw
