What it is
The Chaffoteaux Restrictor D is a 6.7 mm gas restrictor used in the gas circuit of Chaffoteaux boilers. It meters gas flow to the burner so the appliance runs at its rated input for the fuel type it is set up for. This version is specified for LPG applications.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Burner gas rate cannot be set to the figure in the manufacturer's data for the appliance
- Flame picture is unstable, lifting or burning poorly across the burner
- Repeated lockouts or flame supervision faults traced to gas flow at the burner
- The existing restrictor is missing, damaged, blocked or fitted with the wrong diameter
- Combustion readings stay out of tolerance after servicing and adjustment
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and gas type — this restrictor is specified for LPG
- Check the restrictor marking on the part currently fitted and match the 6.7 mm D size
- Confirm the part number against the manufacturer's parts list for your appliance
- Do not fit a restrictor of a different diameter without checking the manufacturer's instructions for the fuel type
