What it is
The Chaffoteaux 61010151 is an ignitor cable used on Britony and Calydra gas boiler ranges. It carries the ignition voltage from the boiler's ignition source to the electrode, producing the spark that lights the burner. It is listed by the manufacturer for Britony 80 and 100 models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to ignite or locks out with no spark at the electrode
- Ignition is intermittent, or the boiler makes repeated ignition attempts
- The cable insulation is cracked, scorched or visibly damaged
- Sparking is heard arcing to earth rather than at the electrode tip
- Connections at the electrode or ignition source are loose or corroded
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model and GC number against the fitment list above
- Inspect the existing cable routing and the connections at both ends
- Check the electrode itself for damage or contamination before replacing the cable
- Have the part number 61010151 to hand when ordering
