What it is

The Chaffoteaux 61009834-49 is an O-ring with dimensions of 15.6mm x 1.78mm. It is used as a sealing component within the hydraulic and gas-carrying assemblies of Chaffoteaux combi and wall-mounted boilers. The O-ring compresses between mating surfaces to prevent water or gas escaping at the joint.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible water weeping or damp staining around a joint or union
  • The O-ring has hardened, cracked or developed flat spots
  • Scale or corrosion deposits sitting on the sealing face
  • A joint that continues to seep after being tightened
  • The O-ring is missing, split or deformed on inspection

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model against the fitment list above
  • Check the O-ring seat and mating surfaces for damage or scale before fitting
  • Confirm the number of O-rings required for the joint being worked on
  • Isolate and drain the appliance as required before dismantling any joint
