What it is
The Chaffoteaux 61002801 is an ignition electrode assembly used across the Britony, Calydra and Gensis gas boiler ranges. It sits at the burner and provides the spark that lights the gas on a demand for heat. This is the complete ignition electrode assembly specified for B80, B100, System II and System P appliances.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to ignite, with no spark at the burner and a repeated lockout
- Ignition lockouts that become more frequent in damp conditions
- Cracking, crazing or carbon tracking visible on the electrode ceramic
- Electrode tip eroded, bent, or heavily sooted
- Spark jumping to earth rather than across the ignition gap
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model and GC number against the fit list above
- Check the electrode mounting position and ignition lead connection on the appliance
- Inspect the ignition lead and PCB spark output before condemning the electrode
- Note the earlier code 100280100 when cross-referencing older service literature

Fitment listings are a guide, not a guarantee. Plant-room assemblies get modified on site more often than not. Send us the GC number off the data badge and a photo of the existing valve and we will confirm before anything is dispatched.
