What it is

The CHAFFOTEAUX 61001497 TEMPERATURE SELECTOR KNOB is a control knob for Chaffoteaux gas boilers. It fits to the temperature selector spindle and allows the user to set the heating or hot water temperature. It is listed under the Chaffoteaux Celt Star B appliance family.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The knob is cracked or broken and no longer grips the spindle
  • The knob turns freely without changing the boiler temperature setting
  • The knob has come off the spindle completely
  • The knob is stiff or difficult to turn, making temperature adjustment awkward
  • The knob is missing, leaving the selector spindle exposed

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model matches one of the Celt Star B 1F or 2F variants listed above
  • Check the part number on the existing knob, or the superseded code 100149700, before ordering
  • Inspect the temperature selector spindle for damage before fitting a new knob
