What it is
The Sime 6098313 is an ignition transformer used on Sime Format and Planet Super gas boilers. It forms part of the boiler's ignition circuit, providing the spark that lights the gas at the burner. The part is listed under controls within gas boiler spares.
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model is a Sime Format or Planet Super.
- Check the existing transformer's part number against 6098313 before ordering.
- Inspect the ignition leads and electrode condition while the boiler is open, as faults there can mimic a failed transformer.
- Confirm the boiler is isolated from the electrical supply before any work begins.
