What it is
The Sime 6072700 is a magnesium anode measuring 22 mm in diameter and 400 mm in length. It is fitted to Sime gas boilers, where it acts as a sacrificial component that corrodes in preference to the surrounding metal of the domestic hot water storage vessel. Once consumed, it must be replaced to maintain protection against corrosion.
