What it is
The Sime main burner injector is a 3.55 mm natural gas injector that meters the gas supply into the main burner of the appliance. It is fitted to the Sime Superior 60CI gas boiler, where it controls the gas flow rate at the burner to suit the fuel type. Correct injector sizing is essential to stable combustion and safe burner operation.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Burner flame is weak, uneven or unstable across the burner surface
- Boiler fails to ignite or locks out repeatedly on the gas side
- Combustion readings drift outside the expected range for natural gas
- Visible blockage, debris or corrosion at the injector orifice
- Injector has been removed and the orifice is damaged or worn
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and that the boiler is set up for natural gas
- Check the existing injector marking to confirm the 3.55 mm size is required
- Verify the part number 6050232 against the manufacturer's parts list for your appliance
- Injectors should be fitted and combustion checked by a competent gas engineer
