What it is

This is a flat gasket measuring 95 mm x 125 mm x 2 mm, manufactured by Sime. It seals the joint between the flue turret and the boiler casing on Sime gas boilers. Its role is to close that joint against flue gases and condensate at the turret connection.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible perishing, cracking or flattening of the gasket material
  • Soot or dark staining around the flue turret joint
  • Condensate weeping or moisture tracking at the turret connection
  • Flue gas smell or combustion readings indicating a poor seal at the turret
