What it is

The Sime 6023300 is a lower right-hand door hinge used on the casing of Sime gas boilers. It forms part of the appliance outer door mounting, holding the lower right corner of the door in position and allowing it to swing correctly. It is listed under Sime casing components for the Dewy range.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler door no longer sits square or drops at the lower right corner.
  • The hinge pin or body is cracked, bent or worn.
  • The door catches or binds when opened and closed.
  • Visible corrosion or material loss on the hinge.
  • The door cannot be held securely in its open position.

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the boiler data badge.
  • Check which corner of the door the hinge serves, as upper and lower hinges are separate parts.
  • Inspect the door and casing for damage that may have caused the hinge to fail.
  • Isolate the appliance and allow it to cool before fitting.
