Sime Ignition Electrode With Lead 6023001

The Sime 6023001 is an ignition electrode supplied complete with its lead. It is a Sime boiler spare that sits in the combustion area of the appliance and provides the spark that lights the burner on a demand for heat or hot water. The attached lead carries the high-voltage supply from the ignition source to the electrode tip.

It is used across a number of Sime gas boiler models, including the Murelle 20 CE range and the Friendly P.Pilot.

• The boiler attempts to fire but there is no spark at the burner
• Repeated lockouts or ignition failure codes on the appliance display
• The boiler lights intermittently, then drops out shortly after start-up
• Visible cracking, heavy sooting or a burnt tip on the electrode
• Cracked, brittle or heat-damaged insulation on the electrode lead

• Check the GC number on the appliance data badge against 47-719-03 or 47-719-18
• Confirm your model against the compatibility list, as several Murelle 20 CE variants use different configurations
• Note the existing electrode lead routing and connection before removal so the replacement can be fitted the same way
• This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
