What it is
The Sime 6022004 is a 6mm copper washer used on Sime gas boiler appliances. It is a sealing component fitted at a joint or connection to help prevent leakage. It sits within the O-rings, washers and gaskets category of Sime gas boiler spares.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Weeping or visible water or gas leakage at the joint the washer seals
- The washer is crushed, flattened or distorted
- Green or dark discolouration indicating corrosion of the copper
- The washer has hardened or cracked and no longer seals
- Damp staining or residue around the connection after reassembly
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model against the fitment list above
- Check that a 6mm washer is the size required for the joint being worked on
- Check how many washers the joint or assembly requires before ordering
- Inspect the mating faces for damage, as a scored face will not seal with a new washer
