What it is
The Chaffoteaux 60081972 is an overheat thermostat rated at 115°C, used in Chaffoteaux gas boilers. Its function is to interrupt the burner or safety circuit when the appliance temperature exceeds safe limits, preventing the boiler from running in an overheat condition.
Before you order
- Confirm the existing thermostat is marked with the same part number 60081972 or cross-reference it against the Chaffoteaux documentation for your boiler model.
- Check the required trip temperature for your appliance; this thermostat is rated at 115°C.
- Verify that the overheat thermostat is the correct component for the fault you are investigating, as other safety devices may cause similar lockouts.
