What it is
The Chaffoteaux 60081729 is a gasket for the fan assembly on a range of Chaffoteaux gas boilers. It seals the joint between the fan and its mounting face, maintaining the integrity of the combustion air path. The gasket is a service item and is replaced whenever the fan is removed or the seal is disturbed.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracking, splitting or perishing of the gasket material
- The gasket has hardened or flattened and no longer seals against the mounting face
- Traces of leakage or staining around the fan mounting joint
- Whistling or unusual noise from the fan area after the fan has been disturbed
- The gasket is damaged or torn when the fan assembly is removed for service
