What it is
The Chaffoteaux 60081611 is an air pressure switch kit for Celtic Plus and Sterling gas boilers. The pressure switch assembly monitors the pressure differential created by the fan and flue system, confirming that combustion air is moving before the boiler is allowed to fire. It is supplied as an assembly for the Sterling and Celtic Plus appliance range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The fan runs but the boiler will not ignite and goes to lockout
- Repeated lockouts on start-up, particularly in cold or windy conditions
- Boiler fires intermittently, cutting out shortly after the fan starts
- No ignition sequence despite the fan proving air movement
- Fault code or lockout pattern pointing to the air pressure switch circuit
Before you order
- Check the appliance rating plate and confirm your model and variant against the fit list above
- Confirm whether your boiler is natural gas or LPG, as both variants are listed
- Compare the part number on the existing pressure switch assembly with 60081611
- Isolate the electrical supply and gas before any work on the switch assembly
