What it is
The Chaffoteaux 60081408 Burner Base Kit is a burner assembly component for Chaffoteaux natural gas boilers. It forms the mounting and support base for the burner within the combustion chamber. It is listed as a gas boiler spare in the burner category.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Unstable or lifting flame at the burner, or a flame that will not hold across the burner surface
- Sooting, discolouration or blackening around the burner and combustion chamber
- Visible corrosion, distortion or cracking of the burner base
- Burner failing to seat correctly or sitting loose in its mounting
- Repeated combustion faults or lockouts traced to the burner assembly
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model against the fitment list above, including the date range where shown for Flexiflame 280 and 420 variants
- Check the appliance is a natural gas model, as this kit is specified for natural gas
- Verify the fault lies with the burner base rather than the electrode, injectors or gas valve before ordering
- Have the appliance model and serial details to hand when checking compatibility
