What it is
A gasket kit for the change over valve assembly on Chaffoteaux gas boilers. It is manufactured by Chaffoteaux and supplied under part number 60081279. The gaskets seal the change over valve, which diverts flow between the heating and hot water circuits.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or staining around the change over valve body
- Visible hardening, flattening or cracking of the gaskets
- Slight gas smell at the valve joint on a gas-side seal
- Damp residue or corrosion tracking at the valve mating faces
- Gaskets disturbed or damaged during valve servicing
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and variant against the fit list above
- Check the change over valve itself for wear before refitting the kit
- Confirm whether the appliance is LPG or natural gas, as the fit list differs by variant
- Isolate the gas and water supplies and allow the appliance to cool before work begins
