What it is

The Chaffoteaux 60081213 is a fuse holder kit for Flexiflame gas boilers. It carries the fuse within the boiler's electrical circuit, holding the fuse in position and maintaining the connection between the fuse and its terminals. It is listed by the manufacturer under miscellaneous gas boiler spares.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler does not power up and the fuse has blown
  • A replacement fuse blows again shortly after fitting
  • Visible scorching, discolouration or melting around the fuse holder
  • The fuse sits loosely in the holder or the contacts feel slack
  • Intermittent power loss to the boiler traced to the fuse holder

Before you order

  • Confirm your appliance is a Chaffoteaux Flexiflame 280 or Flexiflame 420 natural gas model
  • Check the boiler's build date against the two date ranges listed above
  • Verify the part number 60081213 against the manufacturer's parts list for your appliance
  • Confirm the fault lies with the fuse holder rather than the fuse alone
