What it is

The Chaffoteaux gas control knob (part number 60074469) is a replacement control knob for the gas valve on Britony II and Britony 2T SD series gas boilers. It allows the user to adjust the gas flow or operate the gas control valve. This part supersedes the earlier code 7446900.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The knob is cracked, broken or missing.
  • The knob spins freely on the valve spindle without engaging.
  • Difficulty turning the gas control, or the knob feels loose.
  • The knob does not stay in position or is hard to grip.

Before you order

  • Check your boiler model and GC number against the fits list above.
  • Confirm the date of manufacture is up to January 2003 (as indicated by the product title).
  • Check the part number on your existing knob or in the boiler manual.
  • Note that the superseded code 7446900 may be marked on the old part.
