What it is
A Chaffoteaux sheet gasket measuring 18.2mm outer diameter, 15mm inner diameter and 1.5mm thick, supplied under part number 60061855-15. It is a flat sealing gasket used to seal a joint face on Chaffoteaux CELT, CELT STAR and M12 gas boilers. Its function is to compress between mating surfaces and prevent water or gas leakage at that joint.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Weeping or water staining around the joint face the gasket seals
- Visible cracking, splitting or hardening of the gasket material
- The gasket has flattened and no longer sits proud of the joint face
- Leakage reappears at the joint after the appliance has been serviced
- Corrosion or scale build-up on the mating surfaces around the gasket
