What it is
The Chaffoteaux 60060021 is a cover gasket used on a range of Chaffoteaux gas boilers. It seals the joint between the cover and the mating face it is fitted to, preventing water or flue gas leakage at that connection. It is a service part intended for replacement when the existing gasket has hardened, flattened or failed.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the cover joint
- Staining, scale or corrosion tracking around the cover face
- Gasket visibly hardened, flattened, cracked or deformed
- Loss of system pressure with no other obvious cause
- Evidence of leakage after the cover has been removed and refitted
Before you order
- Check your boiler model against the fitment list above, including any date range shown
- Confirm the part number against the existing gasket or the manufacturer's parts list for your appliance
- Inspect the cover and mating face for distortion, corrosion or pitting before refitting
- Confirm how many gaskets are required for the joint being worked on
