What it is
This is Chaffoteaux's primary heat exchanger, fitted to the Flexiflame System boiler range. It transfers heat from the burner into the water circulating through the heating circuit.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Reduced heating output or the boiler struggling to reach temperature
- Kettling or banging noises from the heat exchanger
- Leaking or weeping from the heat exchanger body
- Boiler locking out on an overheat or blocked-flow fault
