What it is
The Chaffoteaux 60053847 is a gasket for the air separator on Chaffoteaux gas boilers. It seals the air separator joint, preventing water and air leakage at that connection. It is a service part for older Celtic, Flexiflame and Sterling appliance families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or tracking from the air separator joint
- Staining or corrosion around the separator flange
- The gasket is flattened, hardened or cracked on inspection
- Air ingress or poor circulation traced to a leaking separator joint
- The joint has been disturbed during other repair work
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and, where shown on the data badge, the GC number against the fit list
- Check the date of manufacture where a fit line gives a production range
- Inspect the air separator joint to confirm the gasket is the source of the leak
- Have the manufacturer's parts list to hand to verify the part number for your appliance
