What it is
The Chaffoteaux 60046713 microswitch box assembly is a control component fitted to Chaffoteaux Celtic and Sterling gas boilers. It houses the microswitches that form part of the appliance control circuit, signalling demand and operating status to the boiler controls.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler does not respond when heating or hot water is called for
- Intermittent firing, or the boiler cutting out part way through a demand
- The fan, pump or ignition sequence fails to start
- No heating or hot water despite the programmer and room thermostat calling
- The boiler locks out shortly after a demand begins
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model and GC number against the fitment list above
- Check the code on the existing component — earlier builds may be marked 4671300 or 31107
- Confirm whether your appliance is natural gas or LPG
- Isolate the electrical supply to the boiler before fitting
