What it is
The Chaffoteaux 60044790 is a 250V 2A fuse used in the electrical circuits of Chaffoteaux gas boilers. It protects the appliance's control and supply circuitry by breaking the circuit when current exceeds its 2A rating. It is a service part for the Britony, Challenger and Flexiflame ranges listed below.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler is completely dead with no power, display or indicator lights.
- The fuse has visibly blown, with a broken element or blackened glass.
- The boiler loses power intermittently during operation.
- A replacement fuse blows again shortly after fitting, indicating a fault elsewhere in the circuit.
Before you order
- Confirm the existing fuse is rated 250V 2A before ordering.
- Check your boiler model against the fitment list above.
- Investigate why the fuse failed — a repeated blow points to an underlying electrical fault rather than the fuse itself.
- Isolate the appliance from the mains supply before removing or fitting any fuse.
