What it is
The Chaffoteaux 60041290 is a main gas valve assembly for natural gas boilers in the Britony II and Britony 2 range. It regulates the supply of gas to the burner, opening and closing as the boiler's control sequence demands. This valve supersedes the earlier code 4129000.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to ignite, or locks out with no gas reaching the burner
- The flame lights but drops out shortly afterwards
- Delayed, intermittent or rough ignition
- Whistling or unusual noise from the valve body
- Corrosion, debris or visible damage around the valve
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model and GC number against the fit list above
- Check the appliance is set up for natural gas, not LPG
- Check the existing valve for the superseded code 4129000
- Gas valve replacement must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer
